Our founder, Russell Halstead, began working full-time in the plumbing, sewer, and drain-cleaning field in 1983. In 1988, he obtained a plumbing license from the city of Lorain, Ohio. Later in 1992, he became an Ohio State licensed Plumber. Then, in November 1997, he started Personal Plumber. He always looked for ways to make our technicians better with new equipment and technology. From Hydro Sewer Jets, Sewer Inspection Cameras, Electronic Locaters, Leak Detectors, Pro Press, Pipe Patch, and Relining Sewer and Drains.

From the very beginning, Russell built Personal Plumber on a foundation of integrity, hard work, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time. His hands-on experience in the field shaped the company’s customer-first mindset, ensuring every service call is handled with professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail.
